DcV is our angel and pre-seed early-stage venture capital vehicle that focuses on startups that use tech and design thinking to address large emerging market opportunities across Sub-Saharan Africa. The influence of design in our decision-making process is pivotal. We will be looking to invest directly or as part of a syndicate round with other smart investors we know who can help in complementary ways.
OUR FOCUS
We invest in early stage (pre-seed & seed) startups with proven product market fit who have their main activity in Africa and/or founded by Africans. Typical industries ranging from Financial inclusion (fintech, insurtech, CFOtech, new distribution models), to online and mobile consumer services (commerce, entertainment, education, digital services) as well as mobility, supply chain services and digitization of the informal economy.
